This hill provided the best views of the city that we found. Click here to see a full panorama of the city I took from just below Petrin Tower (pointed out). The tower is like a mini Eiffel Tower (and was constructed just two years later too), and is used as an observation tower as well as a transmission tower. If you can't be bothered walking all the way to the top of the hill, there is a frequent funicular for your lazy arse ;)

Earlier in the day we saw this old duck somewhere wandering around yelling something in Czech to no one in particular. A couple of hours later, on our way back into town from up the hill we saw her again, still preaching and carrying on to no one in particular.

I don't know how many kilometres/miles we walked today, but it was a lot! So on the way back to the hotel we raided a nearby store and took back several different beers to try. Nice, and bloody cheap!

The next day (Monday) I hired a bike for the day as I do, while Mo spent the day shopping (as she does).

Looking south along the river at just three of the many bridges that cross the river in the city.

Due to being an unemployed bum for the last couple of months (not to mention the shitty weather), I haven't bought a bike nor touched one since I hired one to go mountain biking with my now-flatmate bloody ages ago. So the legs were itching and I was feeling like a hero so I busted my bollocks up the hill again to Petrin Tower - this time on two wheels :)

Not only did I have to readjust to biking on the right-hand-side of the road again, but to add to the fun I now also had tram tracks and (fast moving) trams to deal with too hehe (and tram tracks are not a cyclist's friend!).

Pretty :)

Couple of random shots taken alongside the river. Despite the sun it got cold pretty quickly if I stopped for too long - good encouragement to clock up some distance (not that I really need any).

I headed south for quite a while but was forced to turn around and head back into town to return the bike. There was still a lot more I had hoped to see.

By this stage it was around 4pm and traffic was starting to get pretty built up, and there's really nothing I like to do more while biking on-road than to mingle with it hehe. I got behind a tram at one stage to take a shortcut the wrong way up a one-way street as I needed to get the bike back asap; that was good fun, for me and the passengers watching me ;)

I don't read Czech but that looks a lot like 'digital photography' to me - pretty convenient I thought :)

You know it's cold when even the dogs are wearing fur coats.

You've got to hand it to the Czechs - they make great cars ;)

The next day (Tuesday) was our last, though we had a couple of hours for one last meander. How the hell do you suppose someone managed to graffiti way up there?!

Spot another Maccas sign top-right - they really like their fast food here!

They really love their erotica here too hehe. So yeah if you like (cheap) food, (cheap) beer, markets, fast food, and erotica, you'll bloody love Prague! ;)

Hahaha!

We were only here for the equivalent of three whole days but from what I saw I bloody loved the place! It is really cold this time of year obviously but the whole Christmas thing made it a great atmosphere. It would be a really nice place to visit in summer though. Furthermore, most everything is so bloody cheap - the whole trip cost us the equivalent of just £120 each for everything including accommodation (but excluding flights)!
