The third and final night was gala night, for which the theme was simple - white. We were seated beside the pool for another big free-for-all feast.

Overlooking the pool area during the gala dinner.

After stuffing our faces, glasses of Champagne started coming out and being handed around...

And we were given a bloody good ten-minute fireworks show! No expense spared on this trip!

Then of course it was back to the bar for one last night of inebriation (except for the fella that emptied his dick on his roommate's luggage - he was drinking water :) We'd all had an awesome weekend and I wasn't too happy to be leaving.

The next day, Sunday - the day we were all supposed to be getting home, is when it all got very interesting (and weird)! We were all taking different flights to get back to our respective destinations, and upon arriving the airport my group found our flight had been cancelled due to a strike by Alitalia cabin crew! Two Alitalia staff explained the situation, and said we wouldn't be getting anywhere today as all remaining flights were fully booked so they'd put the 18 of us up in a hotel for the night at their expense and we'd try again tomorrow - BOOYA! :)

The hotel put on lunch for us as soon as we arrived, and while tucking into it several drag queens just sort of emerged and started dancing around the place and putting onsome sort of show for us hahaha!

A short while later a bunch of Italian girls turned up and joined the drags in the show - it was all very random! They were trying to coerce some of us to come up and join in the dancing and so forth but for whatever reason (maybe not surprisingly) nobody did... except me hahaha! I'm getting some salsa lessons in the shot on the right ;)

The hotel was right opposite the beach, and after the incredibly random lunch we all spent the rest of the day lapping up the sun and swimming in the Mediterranean (and damn it was nice out there - ahhhh!).

It turns out the lunchtime antics were performed by a local drama group that use the hall out the back of the hotel to rehearse. They put on a cabaret show for us that night (minus any drag queens) performed entirely in Italian, but I managed to get one of the girls in the group who wasn't performing to translate the scenes for us hehe.

After an incredibly random day, we were back at the airport the following morning for round two. The airline had put us on three flights to get to Heathrow: Lamezia to Rome, Rome to Milan, and Milan to Heathrow, and I was just hoping for at least one of them to be cancelled or something so we could be stranded in either Rome or Milan for another night hahaha. At the airport we saw Alitalia all over the news. There was to be a nation-wide strike the following day, so if we did happen to get stranded tonight we definitely wouldn't be getting out the following day either! I was warned about Alitalia before we arrived in Italy. Apparently they have a reputation for being a rather shoddy airline, and judging by the strikes and the bird shit all over the wings of their planes I'd have to agree, but on this occasion I really didn't mind hehe.
